GREEN PASTURES CHRISTIAN NURSING HOME has been established to provide care for the frail and elderly and others who are terminally ill.
Our Home provides for up to thirty residents and offers them a high standard of full nursing care within a modern, purpose-built, homely, environment.
Nursing Care Provided
We provide a high standard of full nursing care especially for those whose health is unstable and who therefore need regular monitoring by a health professional.
This includes, for example, those who may be incapacitated by the effects of a stroke and now need help with all aspects of their personal care or those who have debilitating conditions such as Parkinson’s disease who also require nursing care. Others may simply be frail through old age.
We are not registered for those suffering with dementia as we are not equipped to cater for the specialised needs of those who are mentally infirm.
Our Staff
The focus of our staff at Green Pastures has always been to provide a special type of Christian care – compassionate and caring whilst maintaining the highest standards of medical and professional service.
John Langridge is our Home Manager.
John has been at Green Pastures now for 9 years and is only the second manager in the 18 years since we were established.
John has overall responsibility for the Home, but focuses primarily on the administrative aspects.
Anna Lammyman was appointed Nurse Manager in January 2011 and is responsible for the management of the care staff and the quality of care provided for the residents. She brings a wealth of experience in a number of different of nursing environments and this has served to enrich the quality of the nursing team. Anna is ably supported by our Senior Nurse, Ann French who has worked at Green Pastures for 14 years.
The vision for the Home came first from the Baptist Church in Banbury.
The congregation raised the money to build the Home and then established it on a ‘not for profit’ basis. It retains its strong Christian ethos, demonstrated through the quality of care provided, but is open to residents of any faith or of none.
Our Home has a fine reputation and is a popular choice for local people looking for care. The regulatory authorities rate Green Pastures as a good home and commend both the environment and the care we provide. We are open to regular inspection from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
We do encourage those contemplating a care home for themselves, a partner, family member or friend to come and meet us. We will be delighted to show you around and take time to discuss your particular circumstances.
Green Pastures Nursing Home is the first project completed by Green Pastures Ltd. – a Registered Charity (No. 297937)
It is intended that the charity will extend into other areas of care as needs are identified and the opportunities arise to meet these needs.
